Temporary Hard Rock casino to open in Virginia this summer

A temporary full-service casino is scheduled to open in Bristol on 8 July.

Hard Rock International has announced the opening of its first temporary casino in Virginia, Bristol Casino - Future Home of Hard Rock, later this summer. The doors are due to open on 8 July following a ceremony.

The temporary facility has 30,000 square feet of available casino space. It will have around 900 slot machines, 20 tables, an adjacent sports lounge for smokers and a betting shop with a variety of gaming options. The casino will also have a Hard Rock shop, as well as non-smoking and high-limit gaming areas on the main floor.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol president Ellie Evangelista said: "I can't wait until we open the doors to our temporary casino in Bristol on July 8. We continue to recruit new team members on a daily basis and are working hard to fill the remaining vacancies through recruitment events over the next few months, including two events next week. "

Evangelista also expressed her delight that the temporary casino will bring economic growth to the city and the region, which is not insignificant for the city.

"Visitors will be delighted to enjoy the fantastic games and restaurants at our new hotel," she said. "Bristol Casino, the future home of Hard Rock will be a major attraction for Bristol and the region as we move closer to completing our full-scale resort and casino."

Hard Rock CEO John Lucas said: "We are delighted to open the casino and welcome guests. As the first casino in Virginia, Bristol Casino - Future Home of Hard Rock will be a great addition to Hard Rock's global portfolio of restaurants, hotels and entertainment venues. I am delighted with the significant progress Ellie Evangelista and her team have made in preparation for the grand opening of Bristol on 8 July.
